This is what I bought:
17 dial soaps (trial size): They are .56 at commissary!
-Used $2.00/1 from 6/12 RP (x's 17)
FREE + $1.44 overage per soap!!!
***That allowed me to have $24.48 of free money to use towards my groceries--I will be donating the soaps!!***
I was able to buy:
5 lb bag of Chicken wings--Used .45/1 tasty bird chicken (Cost $7.00 after coupon)
5 small packs of chicken legs and thighs (plus there was .50/1 tyson chicken peelies on each pack of chicken)--Cost less than a dollar per pack.

****Since I never have good meat coupons, I decided to buy these with my overage and not have to come out of pocket for any of this****
You can also get this deal at Walmart!! Their trial sizes are .97, so it's still $1.03 overage!!
Hello! I found your blog through Kat, and follow it regularly. I'm new to this couponing adventure, and have a silly question. I see you used 17 coupons on the Dial soap...does that mean you purchased 17 newspapers? How many Sunday papers do you normally purchase? Thanks for any insight!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for following...I sometimes think I'm just writing to myself. lol
ReplyDeleteWell, there's lots of ways to get inserts...
If you're military, the base has FREE papers that comes out every week (Thursdays for us), and they sometimes have red plum inserts!! So, this week we were able to get a few inserts from the base, we also usually buy at least 4 papers every week (because even if you don't necessarily see great deals for this week in the paper, save them and more likely than not, a good deal will roll around next week, next month, or even in a couple months!), and if you decide that you want even MORE papers...you can go to the news paper directly on Mondays and purchase the papers at a DISCOUNT (it's first come, first serve)...Also, people who don't coupon will usually give away their inserts! This week we were lucky enough to get lots of free inserts--which made the deal even better!
(I have those plastic containers (with 3 drawers) you buy at target or walmart, and one drawer I will put all my smart sources, the other I will put all my red plums, and the other is for P&G's and miscellaneous. All the inserts are dated so I can just pull out whichever insert I need when I see a deal!)
Okay, next question...Where on base do you acquire these papers?? This is still so overwhelming to me!
ReplyDeleteThey are everywhere! I never noticed them until a few weeks ago, but they are at the commissary, the bx, the gym, etc....
ReplyDeleteThank you! Will have to pay more attention. Please continue posting your deals...I'm inspired!
